✅Who can apply?

Must be 18 or older (17 with notarized parental consent and possible judicial approval)

No residency requirement — you can apply from anywhere

📄 What you’ll need

Both applicants must appear in person at the Benton County Auditor's Office:
5600 W Canal Drive, Kennewick, WA

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID with birthdate

One applicant may be absent with a notarized absentee affidavit (contact the Auditor in advance)

💰 Fees & Payment

Fee: $50–$68 (subject to change)

Cash only — personal checks not accepted

⏳ Waiting Period & Validity

3-day mandatory waiting period after applying (cannot be waived)

License is valid for 60 days from issue date

📝 Ceremony & Witnesses

Ceremony must occur in Washington State

Officiated by ordained clergy, judge, or authorized officiant (not self-solemnized)

Requires two witnesses age 12+
